During its history “Il casale” has changed a lot, according to the different ages and different needs of its owners.

At the beginning, in the 16th century it was just a chapel, dedicated to “Madonna of Loreto”, which would be later on turned into a proper church by the monks, who also built the farm.

“Il casale”, in the 19th and 20th century served as a plant working the stones taken from the river in order to produce lime.

It was a Count who eventually turned it into a proper farm, which represents today the typical farm-house of Friuli: l-shaped, inner courtyard and a well in the middle of it.
